NVQs &
The QCF
National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs) are qualifications that are designed to be undertaken in the workplace. They allow learners to demonstrate their skills by producing evidence from their work activities, to meet national standards. CABWI offers a number of NVQs covering water and utilities skills, at Levels 1-4.
During 2011, the current NVQs will be replaced by new qualifications, which will sit in the Qualifications & Credit Framework (QCF).
Street Works
Street Works qualifications in excavation and reinstatement in the highway were developed to meet the requirements of the New Roads and Street Works Act. There are 16 units, for operatives and supervisors. Holders of the relevant qualifications may act as qualified operatives or supervisors on site.
