CABWI’s NVQs were developed for people working in the water and utilities industries.

NVQs are available at Levels 1-4, which are listed below.  All of these NVQs are delivered by approved CABWI NVQ assessment centres.  For more information about the content and structure of any NVQ, for details of approved CABWI assessment centres, or for information on how to become a CABWI NVQ centre, please contact us. 

Level 1 NVQs

· Network Construction Operations (Water) Level 1

· Sewerage Maintenance Level 1

 

Level 2 NVQs

· Distribution Control Level 2

· Leakage Detection Level 2

· Monitoring the Water Environment Level 2

· Network Construction Operations: Mainlaying (Water) Level 2

· Network Construction Operations: Servicelaying (Water) Level 2

· Operating Process Plant: Water Level 2

· Operating Process Plant: Waste Water Level 2

· Operating Process Plant: Sludge Level 2

· Sewerage Maintenance Level 2

· Utilities Control Centre Operations Level 2

· Utilities Metering Operations Level 2

 

Level 3 NVQs

· Controlling Process Operations Level 3

· Designing Water Networks Level 3

· Leakage Control Level 3

· Maintain Water Supply (Network) Level 3

· Managing and Controlling Process Operations Level 3

· Network Construction Operations (Water) Level 3

· Water Fittings Regulations Enforcement Level 3

 

Level 4 NVQs

· Utilities Network Planning and Management Level 4

 

All current CABWI NVQs are accredited until 31 December 2010. 

· Certification for all Level 1 NVQs expires on 31 December 2011.

· Certification for all Level 2 NVQs expires on 31 December 2012.

· Certification for all Level 3 and Level 4 NVQs expires on 31 December 2013.

 

The current National Qualifications Framework is being replaced by a new Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF).  Work is ongoing to ensure that CABWI’s current NVQ provision is replicated in the QCF between September 2010 and January 2011.  Further information about the QCF arrangements will be posted here in due course.
